Switch or Stay?

hmm,first of all, i need to make another decision, yes, another one... to SWITCH course to Food Science and Nutrition instead of Human Nutrition that I'm taking currently.

Seriously consider it when I totally don't understand what lecturer is talking about, 2nd chapter in Molecular Pathophysiology. I email the Fd Sci and Nutr. programme leader to ask about it. Today, he replied me that I have absolutely no problem to switch it.

But, as I think further, this is my interest, and HE is right, I'm studying on WHAT i like, not many people can study what they like. Im lucky, right?

And my classmate is right (the hk guy, first time he took initiative to talk to me,when he heard I want to switch course), that is your career for life.

If I choose Nutrition, I can be nutritionist (perhaps not yet, in UK, you need to practice 3 years to be the FULL nutritionist, I think SG doesnt have the practice) OR perhaps I can still be employed as food technologist or any food industry as I have 1year experience + Dip. in Food Tech background.

On the other hand, it is unlikely for me to be the PROFESSIONAL nutritionist, if I switch back to Food Science and Nutrition, and the different modules are including Food Technology (those preservation, processes, raw materials etc), Sensory Evaluation and Pdt Dev., Food Quality and Safety (QA,QC, ISO, HACCP- I really dont like it though it has the greatest value in food industry in SG!).

Hmm, I know my decision. But it will really be a tough year for me, by studying the Molecular Pathophysiology and it lasts for a year! Plus, I think i will really score low for Bioethics, as this is oral defence based. No exam and it is your way of presentation and defence with evidence. Kinda psychology, an ethical scientist? This is quite interesting but can i deliver my presentation and defence in CHINESE? haha! It just too much chim terms and different culture to me.

OK, Im gotta be hardworking enough.. Even if the grades are bad, I have no regret, as I have chosen it. But I will definately work hard for it :p

I'm happy to be in this course, right? This is my interest and there are so much people NOT pursuing WHAT THEY LIKE.

Sometimes, they not even know what they like.

Ok, not thinking about grade, though it does affect my future... BUT its my interest!!

I'm going to work extremely hard for it. 8 months to go. It is fast and furious :p

Ok, must emphasis. Im following the direction to WHAT I like.

**CHEER UP that I have decided not to switch course and confirm FYP on Probiotic. But supervisor advised me to do literature review before choosing my focus on shelf life or acidity.

Hmm.. probiotic.. interesting, isn't it =)

Good, everything on track again. StaY, Probiotic and Molecular lecturer is giving me their 2nd year-biology disease, the previous year's slides. Just work hard...

If I cant find job...Be shao nai nai? hahaaaaaa :x
