一个星期,上课3天,星期五为project day.
由于我的project是research为主,所以不必到实验室报道。
若星期五,我偷懒,剩下的4天就是自己安排的节目。
我,本来就不是一个有计划,有规律的学生。
所以,我可以一连4天让身体好像废人一样,拥有最低的消耗能量,坐在电脑前面,但3餐依旧。谁让我爱上营养学,就是要让身体摄取最足够的营养。
在这里生活,最开心是能够自由选择自己的饮食。虽然少了我最爱的寿司、面粉馃、肉骨茶、laksa等等,可是我却能够选择不进食高油、高盐和高脂肪的食物,目前都以蔬果为主, 但是我还是不能当个完全的素食者,因为我放不下我最爱的三文鱼和肉骨茶,哈哈!如果维持这样的饮食方式,平均2-3个星期可以客串素食者,哈哈。Yoghurt, kiwi, oats, 面饭食等等都是我的主要粮食,偶尔却还是会选择罐头和速食面等等,不然这里的生活本来就单调,应该要让食物多元化一点吧?呵呵
怎么开始写自己的饮食呢?其实是因为现在的生活不是围绕着我的营养学系的课业,就是每天准备自己的三餐,所以不谈功课,就谈饮食吧? 虽然,它们不多不少都是有关联的,所以我才会喜欢上营养学吧?它跟我们的生活有着很密切的关系。
最近一直在找journal,看journal...
昨天重点在fiber (纤维)和heart disease (心脏病)的密切关系;今天是我的FYP,关于probiotics,也就是有益的菌类,尤其是对肠胃和immune system, 免疫系统有益处。
虽然找资料的过程很难过,尤其是找不到需要的文章时,更是压力。可是读着,读着,却越来越着迷... 我知道我喜欢的,只是时间总是紧迫,我的学习理解能力和写报告速度总是需要改进。呵呵
根据研究,没有直接的报告显示fiber能够降低心脏病的发作,可是wholegrain, nuts却有有力的证据显示降低心脏病的风险。
至于probiotic, 是确定对肠胃好,保持好与坏菌的平衡,是个很好研究的课题。而我选择的研究对象是Awareness of health benefits and evaluation of intake of probiotic products in Singapore. 所以,将会设计一系列的问题针对居住新加坡的人民...你们,迟点会受到我的 “邀请”填哦!要认真的填哦!呵呵 ! 教授觉得100人是不错的数额,性别、年龄、教育背景将会是比较的因素。
目前,需要帮忙的是新加坡的probiotic products and markets... still doing research.. give me some information if you have :p

"These bacteria are normally incorporated into yogurt, fermented milk, powder as well as capsules as supplement. In Singapore, intake of probiotics is commonly provided by yoghurt and Yakult, Nestle and Danone are few yoghurt brands that are more commonly available in island wide neighborhood supermarkets such as NTUC, coldstorage and ShenShong."
Cheese also contains probiotics, but less commonly aware by consumers.

Do you know that benefits of probiotics, scientically proven??
"There have been many studies done to prove benefits of probiotics as functional food. Probiotic is important in maintaining health of gastrointestinal as well as human well being. Evidences have been collected to prove that probiotics are beneficial to gastrointestinal tract by maintaining the balance of “good” and pathogenic microflora in colon and enhance immunity function. Probiotics demonstrate the function of relieving constipation, treating diarrhea (rotavirus, traveler or antibiotic-associated), pouchitis, vaginal infection and maintain remission of inflammatory colitis. On top of it, some scientists suggest that probiotics have exerted positive impact on cancer, allergic, bowel disorders and failure to thrive. However, more studies need to be done to support the suggestion above"

Vitagen is also gaining much popularity here, particularly the one with Collagen inside.
p.s. will your report touch on the effictiveness of collagen compound inside Vitagen? coz personally I think those small amount wont help much in delivering their benefits.
erm,most probably i wont go into research of collagen. Though it could be one of the functional food.
Personally, i did buy the vitagen with collagen, I like the taste and phychologically, I feel I will be prettier! haha...
I think if you wanna get the collagen beautify effect, you need to consume consistently, like the Meiji one, probably you will get the CLAIM's effect.
But if you consume once in a month, like me, you wont get the effect.
Naturally, get the collagen from fish skin is better! you can get the synergistic effect, fish nutrients and the collagen(eat with skin)
Haiz,fish here is so so so expensive, i hardly get a bite of fish,probably once in a month only T_T
