Increase your antioxidant-rich fruits and vege to prevent cancer!

I'm mad on reading the estrogen signaling assignments, however, i discovered this is really a good way to deliver knowledge academically. It is really different from what I have been doing in Poly where most of the time are so called "study deadly" by all those spoon feeding lectures, though there are assignments, but reading academic journals are really different. Here, you are required to cite the reference professionally and no sloppy websites allowed, very densely based on updated journals. Anyway, Poly doesnt subcribe the expensive NORA (journals search engine)...

For eg, a rapid signalling pathway has recently been discussed where u cant find the information in the textbooks. Bioethics topic that I chose-Nutrigenomics could be impossibly found in textbook as well cause it is a newly found technology/method since a decade ago. You are learning up-to-date knowledge.

But, the downside for students is ... it is really challenging.. Im hardly enjoying it... though i try to...

Btw, today molecular pathophysiolgy was about free radical, i find it more interesting and i can understand easier compared with his last few lessons on bored signalling pathways. Perhaps this is more lively and related directly to our bodies. Free radical can link you to cancer, aging, antioxidants? I supposed these are words appeared in your minds and you are absolutely right.

To your interest, eating vit C and vit E containing high antioxidant properties which reduce the possibility of oxidating the unpair electrons in your cells, and thus prevent the cancer. However, cancer is a multifactorial complex disease, could be your lifestyle that leads to the consequences. Since diet can affect your body greatly, and you are able to choose what is going into your body, why not taking a preventive action that you could? I sincerely appreciate the power of foods, and the longer healthier life you have, the better quality and enjoyable life you have, together with you love ones!

Start increasing the amount of vegetables and fruits that could better regulate your body, in many ways, while the fruits and vege below shows the amount of antioxidant properties, the higher the value, the higher the antioxidant properties! * I supposed the fresh forms perform better, however, in our life, we hard to get it fresh for most of them... But I eat lots of kiwi, orange here. Why blackberry is not in the list, i just bought 2 boxes of blackberry and 2 boxes of strawberry, 4boxes cost me £2, it is quite cheap :p


My final year project has changed the topic to investigate the effect of temporal migration on dietary habits, in this case, im based on chinese students in UK. Personally, i have increased the amount of fruits and vegetables I consumed as i control all my meals consumption by cooking myself :p

I eat lots of orange, red grapes, kiwi, red peppers and onions here! I shall increase strawberries,rarpsberries and brocolli, which I could get all in fresh at reasonable price!!heez


Blogging clears my mind... I shall back to my TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH assignments T_T
