Farewell to my blog, bye 2008

Almost sleeping to wake up at 5am tml morning, catch 6.35am train and 2 hours later I will be in Edinburgh!

Backpack is about 10kg which is perfectly fine to me as it has a very good back support system. A camera bag will be my day bag. I hope I can keep the backpack to 10kg and at a dimension of 55x40x20 cm (Now i can memorise Ryanair budget airline's hand carry bag dimension) when I fly from Glasgow...

Happy New Year 2009 to all my family and friends!

Ling & Ting (2 of my sisters) will backpack in Jawa, Indonesia for 14days, 31dec -14Jan (I think so)... So there is so much reasons that my parents are aging fast :x Mum keeps asking me to sms her once every 2 days or when Im moving from one city to another.

Gosh, I din tell her I will be storing myself at -20deg C, else she wouldnt allow me to go on myself... Wish I can be back safely, with nice photos :p

Wish I can see Northern light!!!

相信 2009 依然延续 2008 的美

I really love my backpack (aka rucksack) , Revolution Aqua 50W from EuroHike. I get it at Millets at bargain price of £29.99 (U.P. 49.99) on Boxing day 2008. It has waterproof lined hood and sleeping bag compartments. It is specially designed for women with adjustable padded back system and shoulder harness. 2 zipped pockets + 2 mesh side pockets, side compression straps, front zipped pocket. The possible down side I could think is the weight at 2kg, which is considerably heavy due to the back adjustable system.

I have packed my warm clothings, DSLR tripod (Get from my hk hostel fren), socks, tissues, foods etc. Left my e-tickets/journals to read/travel information and toiletries to be putting in. I think tats all... and hope it is within 10kg and dimension of 55 x 40 x 20 (cm) to get on Ryanair flights...

Camera bag will be my daybag for this 16days trip. Though its kinda unmatch me, but then... it is the most useful bag to protect my 1000D baby...


Year 2008 is ending soon, I dont think I have time to make a comprehensive conclusion. In short, I enjoyed 2008 so much. Wishes make on 21's birthday are all granted! God is really generous to me.

In January, I have a memorable and fun Krabi, Thailand trip with a close group of friends, 11 of us.
In March, someone tells me I will be no longer alone for the rest of my life. Love is in the air~
In May, I resigned after working exactly one year. After 2years, I re-visited cameron highland by renting car from JB-Cameron Highland & Ipoh, 13 of us.
In May-July, total 41days across Vietnam (24d), Laos (11d), Chiangmai (6d), I have my very first backpacking experience with my sister and her friend. Plus, we joined a Taiwanese-organised community work in Chiang Mai to bring the used clothes & food items to Minority in mountains. It was a really soul-searched journey.
In July-Aug, worked temporarily in National Healthcare Group Polyclinics as data entry administrator.
In Aug, celebrating my 22nd birthday with Zoo, HLs and him. 17 Aug was in Tioman.
In Sept, step forward to fulfil my biggest dream - to further study my favourite course at UK! Still going on happily...
In Nov, I experienced my very first snow in Newcastle!
In Dec, I have my very own backpack, leather boot, DSLR... My first xmas, boxing day in UK!




The most happening and famous countdown Hogmany party at Edinburgh kicks the first second of 2009, and I will be further rewarded with lovely scene in Scotland and followed by Sweden! Arctic Circle (北极圈）& Northern light aka Aorora (北极光／欧若拉／绿光） is my most looking forward part!


Everyone tells me, I'm a lucky girl. Yes, I really do! I have great parents who can support me to fulfil my dream, I have him to support me to bring me forward, I have chances to travel around, I cant think of anything else better than now! Well, it could have, when you enter another stage of life!

Everything seems perfectly going on, though sometimes something doesnt go on smoothly, but your efforts will make things work.

I believe 2009 still a good year to me.

Boxing Day + 败家女的北极圈行装准备

每年的圣诞节后，就是英国的Boxing day!
每年的Boxing day，就是大减价的日子！

平时11点后我才会出门，可是今天10点我们就准备好出发了！
街上并没有想象中的热闹，或许因为这里是Newcastle, 而非London!
很多店都没开，不过，我还是成功地买到我要买的东西，虽然还是很贵，但是已经减价了！
背包（原本一直看中的是39.99,以外地买下另一个比较便宜又好看又实用的29.99 背包），外套和Canon DSLR 1000D!








原来　东南亚才是背包客的天堂！
冬天的背包旅行还真的把我的荷包掏空了！
严冬里　跑到北极圈里单独背包旅行　我还真的服了自己！
既然决定了　就积极准备行装～

花了好多钱　确保自己没有冻死在－２０度的北极圈里
希望北极光　看到我的努力　她会揭开那神秘的面纱
让我会一会她！

这双鞋没带去，只是因为我需要一双跑步鞋～

离开新加坡前，竟然找不到我那双我很爱的ＮＩＫＥ跑步鞋～

I'm in the festive mood though Newcastle and practically all across the UK is a dead city as everyone is celebrating at home, Christmas is a give and take season!

This year, spending Chritsmas quietly in the room, which is perfectly satisfied.

I have never really been listening to Christmas songs, I only know jingle bell in fact.

Crab recommended me few songs from youtube and I can't stop finding Christmas songs since then. In addition, I learn singing Christmas songs! We sang Jingle bells, Santa Claus is coming to town and We wish you a Merry Christmas to HLs when the clock hit 12midnight at their time!

I really love listening to Christmas songs, not those OLDER generation one, I'm perfectly sitting in the X generation:p Let me share couples of nice songs. Next year I'm going to listen them again :p　All of them enlighten my day!

Indesicive me... Xmas card from Anya Tan

Pekchek...I dislike myself being so indecisive. Trying to save but end up spending more.argh...

Changed my plan in Sweden,so end up having a less cost-effective travel...Loss RM150+RM20 on my mis-booked train tickets.To compensate it, I'm going to enjoy myself very very much in Abisko& Kiruna,famous for the Abisko National Park and Ice Hotel. If I'm lucky, I could see Aorora aka Northern light. Perhaps this is the only one in my lifetime.

Times getting nearer for my trip starts on 30Dec08-15Jan09, counting down one week. Getting stressed for not finalising the itienary and do not prepare well for the winter travelling. Lots of winter gear is required to keep you warm, especially I need to survive in the temperature of -20degC.

Another things that make me mad is the STERLING POUNDS! Up to now, It is about £1-RM5.2 (when i changed my fee was £1-RM6.5). It will definately reach the ever lower point in the history! ECONOMIC IS DOING BADLY! Expected to fall even lower than RM5! Economists forecast that Europe is being most hit by this recession and could last till next June! I regreted for changing all my living fees before I came here :(

Have been shopping around for the Christmas sales for my necessary winter gears.

1. woolen socks(U.P. £8, bought £2.93)

2. ear muffs child(U.P. £1.99, bought £0.99)

3. sport shoes(U.P.£40, bought £15)

4. Ski glove Junior (U.P.£9.99, bought £2.99)

1. A good and branded Clarks boot (U.P. £79.99, now 59.99)

星期四晚上赶最后一份报告到
隔天早上11点才睡觉...
还好整夜都有crab crab 相伴
两个人都在赶功课...

crab和我为了庆祝第一个学期的结束+作业顺利完成
我们吃一顿好的！

太快了啦！

倒数1.5天

本小姐还在跟最后一份功课打战，
暂且不说明天的presentation（slides都准备好了，大概也知道要讲什么，最怕教授的问题...）

今天星期三了，星期五早上就把这个学期最后一份功课交上，就暂时逃离课业的魔掌！
现在很不想做那份功课 ><

6个星期的寒假共44天的假期
扣掉17天的苏格兰+瑞典行
扣掉８天的西班牙行
剩下19天在这里

圣诞前后几天会狂扫货
然后准备旅行的东西
1月19号那个星期还有Presentation
还要做FYP的报告等等

其实这个寒假还是很忙...
哈哈...

其实现在要写blog是因为
刚刚看了姐姐的blog,才知道这次她14天后的Jawa行带了傻傻的小妹同行，共5人
挺让我期待他们旅程后告诉我的趣事

这个小妹一定搞出很多趣事，她可能会哭..可能会失踪 ..可能会...
好多可能性

最重要是平安回来。哈哈

下次我要计划3姐妹，4兄弟姐妹，6个全家总动员的旅行！
我毕业后的3年内，我们来计划...hohoho
